SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

Water is produced by two wells located along Main Street. Activities are prohibited within 100' of the wells to protect against possible contamination. The water is pumped from the wells into a 60,000-gallon concrete reservoir before being distributed by gravity flow to the customers.

Alpine Environmental collects one sample for coliform bacteria each month. This sample is rotated between three collection sites within the system. An annual test for nitrate is collected from the source. Every three years or more, tests for metals and minerals, petroleum products, and radioactive particles are collected. Results of the most recent testing are summarized in the Consumer Confidence Report.
