water testing
Alpine Environmental collects one sample for coliform bacteria each month. This sample is rotated between three collection sites within the system. An annual test for nitrate is collected from the source. Every three years or more, tests for metals and minerals, petroleum products, and radioactive particles are collected. Results of the most recent testing are summarized in the Consumer Confidence Report.
The well serving River Road Mobile Home Park is high in iron and other minerals. While this condition is not a health hazard, it does present conditions such as staining, hard water deposits, or taste and odor that some users find unpalatable. Customers wishing to improve the taste and odor of their water should contact a water treatment system vendor to find a water softener or filtration system that can remove these minerals.
