SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

Water is purchased from the City of Okanogan, which operates multiple wells to serve its customer demands. Water is pumped from a reservoir up the hill along the Conconully Highway to an intertie with the Progressive Flat distribution network. Water is delivered from this point directly to the service connections throughout the system.

Alpine Environmental collects one sample for coliform bacteria each month. This sample is rotated between three collection sites within the system. Annual tests for nitrate and less frequent tests for metals and minerals, petroleum products, and radioactive particles are collected by the City of Okanogan, with the exception of lead and copper testing, which is done at five Progressive Flat residences. Results of the most recent testing are summarized in the Consumer Confidence Report.
