SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Water is produced by a single well located along Omak River Road to the east of the Vista Vue development. This well produces water that slightly exceeds the EPA maximum level for arsenic. Water is processed with an arsenic removal system and blended with untreated water to achieve a final result below the EPA maximum. A low dose of chlorine is maintained in order to optimize this treatment, but is not detectable at the service connections. Treated water is stored in plastic storage reservoirs before being pumped to the system.

water testing
Alpine Environmental collects one sample for coliform bacteria each month. This sample is rotated between three collection sites within the system. An annual test for nitrate is collected from the source. Every three years or more, tests for metals and minerals, petroleum products, and radioactive particles are collected. An arsenic test is collected monthly after the treatment unit to ensure that levels are correctly maintained. Results of the most recent testing are summarized in the Consumer Confidence Report.
