SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

Water is produced by a single well located near the Columbia River. The water is pumped to a 51,000-gallon concrete reservoir before being delivered to the consumers. Booster pumps push the water from the reservoir to customers located higher on the hill.

Alpine Environmental collects one sample for coliform bacteria each month. This sample is rotated between three collection sites within the system. An annual test for nitrate is collected from the source. Every three years or more, tests for metals and minerals, petroleum products, and radioactive particles are collected. Results of the most recent testing are summarized in the Consumer Confidence Report.
